I want to know what it takes for a christian to possess/obtain the power of God?
God is a concept of faith and hence a creation individual and collective beliefs.
Power ascribed to ‘it’ are therefore imaginary and a spin off of beliefs and faith.
These get exaggerated or curtailed based on beliefs and folk lore.
So what are you looking forward to gain? Powers imagined and ascribed by ‘your’ communities belief, your own interpretation of ‘His’ powers or which of the powers ascribed by whose imagination?
Or do you want to attain powers that faith can instill due to such imagination?
These would be the same that you could achieve by a strong conviction and faith in your self.
Thus the concept of "God" helps you …"move mountains" & achieve deeds beyond [Supra] your natural capabilities, which you and your commune did not consider you capable of by instilling faith in yourself about yourself.
What does it take to possess the supernatural power of God, knowing that God is supernatural?

Im not a Christian but if you want to in some way be closer to god (whatever your definition of god may be) then here some of my opinions:
-overcoming your negative astrological traits
-achieving a higher state of conciousness
-tapping into that spiritual part of your mind (DMT?)
-And hopefully eventually being able to control nature. MIND OVER MATTER (to think is to act).

Clarity of the mind
firstly think of having a power such that even if u said something in heart that gets happened , don’t exercise a lot of ur imagination , i just mean like u called some1 etc , the fact is the other person will listen n will come near too . in other words the power will work even if u don’t want it sometimes to . this is als o why it is said that a person should speak less espea=cially the 1 who prays a lot . as devotees get this power that what they say happens , the ill effect is that sometimes something wrong is said that proves fatal .
2ndly know this for sure . even if u get numerous such super-powers u will keep trapped in this cycle of life n death in which a person is born n dies again n again . the only way out is god . when the soul merges in god then the heart gets cleaned , 1 gets divine knowledge , about god ,aybe something more too . then no impure ideas come in heart , 1 experiences a divine bliss indescribable n hears the sound of god ,
if u tap at something a sound is produced , this SOUND(given above ) is present in universe n is not created by striking .
the choice is ur’s now after 84 lakh life forms a human life form is received in which a person gets both heart n body . in this life form only can a person connect to god . being christian or not is a different thing.a religion is path followed that leads to god .
