Miracles are a form of supernatural power, both God and Satan are able to perform them. How do we distinguish?

How do we know if something we wanted was the answer to a prayer by God or Satan interfering with God’s actual plan for us?
Stung – you are so right about what people take for granted. I try to stop and smile at the simple things around me, but dont do it often enough. Thanks for the reminder. ![]()
Well when you pray be very specific, you will know when you prayer is eventually answered from God,
If God wants to perform a miracle for whatever reason, there is nothing Satan can do about it, so keep praying.

You don’t.
If you’re a Christian, you pray for God to guide you on your path. That’s about all you can do.

If it’s something that’s fun, exciting and feels good its probably satan cause he is trying to seduce you and sh*t.

If it is something that will interfere with Gods plan for us the Holy Spirit will alert us..and we will know

a miracle is only your perception of what a miracle is. It’s a miracle that you are breathing and are unawares of it. It’s a miracle your heart pumps blood throughout your body sustaining you. It’s a miracle the trees breath carbon dioxide and give of oxygen. It’s a miracle God makes all these things and so many more. How about how he makes fruit appear on trees? Gods miracles are all around, only you take them for granted. But, if you see something out of the ordinary you call it a miracle.

If miracle leads you to God and results in obedience to His word, they are of God. If they lead you away from God, they are a lying deception.
" If a prophet, or one who foretells by dreams, appears among you and announces to you a miraculous sign or wonder, and if the sign or wonder of which he has spoken takes place, and he says, "Let us follow other gods" (gods you have not known) "and let us worship them," you must not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer. The LORD your God is testing you to find out whether you love him with all your heart and with all your soul. It is the LORD your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him. That prophet or dreamer must be put to death, because he preached rebellion against the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt and redeemed you from the land of slavery; he has tried to turn you from the way the LORD your God commanded you to follow. You must purge the evil from among you. "
Deuteronomy 13:1-5
"Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many……For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect—if that were possible. See, I have told you ahead of time. "
Matthew 24:4-5,24-25

Remember these facts.
1) Satan is not "free" to do as he wishes. He is on a leash so to speak and can only do what God allows him to do. Check out Job 1:1-12 or Matthew 4:1.
2) God works all things for good for those who love Him – Romans 8:28
3) If it is a good thing, we know it was from God – James 1:17

Satan is not allowed to operate supernaturally in this natural world, only the one true God can do supernatural works in this natural world. He works His miracles through man and sometimes even beast.
Satan can and do use people that allow him to do so, to do his evil works by natural means. Satan uses the power of suggestion to manipulate and deceive man, he plays tricks in the mind of the natural and carnal man with subliminal suggestions and illusions.
Any GOOD thing you ask of God when you pray with faith and in the name of Jesus, God will give it you, and if an answer is supernaturally known,(revealed to you from within your heart) its from God. But if you got something by doing evil works,(lies, deception etc.) its from Satan. And if your answer comes to you in the form of an audible voice you hear with your natural ears, or just comes in your mind, its from Satan.
God is a spirit, so are we and He communicates with us spirit to spirit.

It is very easy to know; Satan never does any good for anyone. He causes confusion, troubles and tribulations by tempting us. His intention is to draw us away from God. So whenever something happens to us which is likely to draw us off from God, then it is from Satan.

Well firstly when you pray are you starting with Father in HEAVEN or something else. Miracles happen, this much is true, one would assume that if it was indeed a good miracle then it would be an act of god. Satan however can mislead and interfere with your daily life and even mislead you to believing something good is happening but whatever it is, if it is bad you usually find out in the end. Trust in the lord above I would say.
