Who gets to decide what a miracle is?

Who is the ALL KNOWING who determines what a miracle is? A miracle COULD be getting to eat Cheerios for breakfast to someone who is truly deprived.A teen NOT doing drugs can be considered a miracle. What do you think constitutes a miracle?

I agree totally with your observation of how under some particular circumstances, the "ordinary", or common can be considered a miracle.
That’s because the determination is done in two principal ways.
Subjectively or Objectively. When the decision is made solely based on a personal basis then it can be said the determination was made subjectively, as in your example.
Objectively and event or circumstance can be deemed miraculously when it’s occurrence is very improvable or very rare. The degree of rarity can be assigned a mathematical value called a probability. So if mathematically speaking the probability of something happening (lighting striking twice) is very low, when the event thus occurs, it can in an objective way be determined by anyone that a miracle indeed took place.
The curios thing is that everything when analyzed thoroughly and deeply is extremely improbable, from sand grains to your parents meeting ,including your own unique existence, thus everything is very, very improvable to an extreme and therefore an awesome miracle !

I think each individual gets to chose what their definition of a miracle is. I think that getting to watch a sunrise or a sunset is a miracle. Getting to see my nieces and nephews is a miracle. Plaing with my kitten…..etc etc etc

A miracle can be anything for which you don’t have a chronology of reasons to establish it. If we bring a cannibalist man from a remote pacific island to new york city, the skyscrapers will appear to be miracle to him. That is because he doesn’t know about the technology and that seems an impossibility to him. But what he sees in front of his eyes is TRUTH but he does not have enough knowledge to establish the truth and then he resorts to considering it as a miracle.

So, for us (the educated people of today’s world) there are thousands of things undiscoverd and we don’t have proper knowledge about it and whenever we cannot establish a truth by means of our knowledge we start considering it as a miracle. The more we become knowledgeble the less is the chance for an incident to be considered a miracle.

We determine what a miracle is. The Cheerio-deprived person will know it is a miracle to them if they determine it to be so. It’s the same in all cases no matter who or what the event. A miracle is something good that happens either through human or supernatural means; sometimes having no explanation or even making sense to our feeble minds.

Miracles don’t exist. The moment something exists, it’s no longer a miracle, it’s just supernatural phenomena. Something that exists is possible, and therefore it ceases to become a miracle. Well, depends on how you define a miracle. I guess you might say an "Abberant in the functionality of science that is not simply the result of phenomenally unlikely events" would qualify.
