This means that you must consider God's loving provisions for married couples which are written in the Holy Scriptures...and make these piece of advice as your foundation for marriage.

A Firm Foundation

What this means. Strong families do not endure automatically, any more than a house just keeps standing for many decades. A solid structure needs a firm foundation, and the same is true of a strong family. Successful families are built on a source of guidance that works.

Why it matters. Advice on family life abounds in books, magazines, and TV programs. Some marriage counselors would urge troubled couples to stay together, while others would urge those same couples to split up. Experts even change their own thinking on such topics. For instance, in 1994 a popular therapist who specializes in adolescent issues wrote that earlier in her career, she felt that “children were better off with happy single parents rather than unhappy married parents. I thought divorce was a better option than struggling with a bad marriage.” After two decades of experience, though, she had a change of heart. She stated: “Divorce shatters many children.”

With a firm Scriptural foundation, your family can withstand the storms that threaten it
Opinions are subject to change, but the best advice that can be found will always in some way reflect the principles found in God’s Word, the Bible. Reading this series of articles, you may have noted that a Bible principle is given at the top of [each page]. Such principles have helped many families to find true success. Like all other families, they experience problems. The difference is that the Bible has provided them with a firm foundation for marriage and family life. We would expect that to be true of the Bible, for its Author, Jehovah God, is the Originator of the family.—2 Timothy 3:16, 17.

Try this exercise. Make a list of the scriptures quoted at the top of pages [in this series, or connect to the link]. Add any other Bible texts that have helped you. Keep a list of these handy, and refer to them often.

Make a resolve. Determine to apply the Bible in your family life.
References :
http://www.watchtower.org/e/200910/article_07.htm

2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Mt 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

The Bible contains his instructions for us and if we love him, we should study it diligently and obey each and every instruction. We are warned that we are in a spiritual warfare and there are a lot of false teachers and false doctrines in this world. If you are familiar with the whole armor of God that we are to put on, the only offensive weapon that we are given is his word. You cannot follow a preacher, you must study the Word and follow it. Proverbs chapters 1 through nine gives wonderful instruction on this. There are a lot of doctrines that are not taught or are not taught properly that you will find if you prayerfully and repeatedly study the Scripture. Do it for yourselve and out of love for the brethren that you might be able to speak truth to them.
References :
First of all I would like to praise you for sticking up for what you believe in. Most Christians today can't even do that, even if it's only on yahoo answers. I sometimes find it hard to express everything I believe in with confidence and sincerity. Anyways God appoints those in authority already knowing how they're going to use their power for. Everything is predetermined in Gods mind, even when we think he doesn't know what he's doing. Many people who know the truth don't even share God's word, so why show their faith in their own opinions. The only thing I don't believe in is predestined salvation, everyone has the chance to be cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ. He died on the cross for our sins, and that covers the past, present, and future. Anyway, kind of mumbling there for a moment. Things happen for a reason and it's all in God's hand, it's not his failure, it's our own free will.
References :
By submitting to His word in every decision you make.
Does His word command you to "be ye not unequally yoked together with unbeliever's"? Then obey it.
Does His word tell you to treat "the unmarried women as sisters", (eg. you don't neck with your sister). Then obey it.
Does His word forbid divorce, except for abandonment and adultery. Then obey it.
Does His word tell you to let no "unwholesome word proceed out of your mouth", then obey it.

etc. its' quite simple to understand really. Obey it!!
References :
When you say "relationship", do you mean with a boyfriend/girlfriend/husband/wife or do you mean for yourself personally (your personal relationship with Christ)? Edit and clarify more, then I'm 100% willing to shoot out ideas.
