Why do some Protestants think that Catholics can’t have a relationship with Christ?

Even though I’m a Catholic, I still believe in Jesus Christ that he is my lord and savior and no one can ever change that no matter what they say.

Some protestants are ignorant about christian religion that is not their personal denomination. We serve one God and One Lord. We could be Catholic, Lutheran, baptist or methodist, we are all christian.

We don’t say that. We say it’s an adulterous relationship, because the Scripture makes it clear.

It’s truly unfortunate that some do feel that way.

It’s great that you are a believer.

Anyone can accept Christ as personal Savior and therefore have a relationship with Him.

Come on now, charbel. That is not being very "Christian."

It is not that they think that Catholics can’t have a relationship, it is that they think an awful lot of Catholics do not have a relationship with Christ. I would ask you why you believe in Christ, and why do you believe that He is your personal Savior and Lord? You can email me with your response to my questions if you wish.

Remember that Jesus said from the cross, "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do" (Lk 23:34). What did his sacrifice on the cross have to do with those who mocked him, spit at him, and crucified him? In other words, what did it have to do with those for whom he was asking forgiveness from God the Father? The answer is: everything. For some, it was through ignorance that they crucified him, and invincible ignorance can diminish one’s culpability for evil done—even the crucifixion of our Savior. They still could be saved, or Jesus’ plea for their forgiveness to the Father would make no sense. Whoever enters heaven will do so only because of Christ and his sacrificial work on the cross. Some people may enter heaven having never heard of Christ, but it will be because of him that they enter.

If you are known by God,redeemed by grace through faith in the substitutionary sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ, are in personal covenant relationship with God,through His Son,believe Jesus to be not only the Son of God but God the Son..You are my brother or sister in the Lord..

Non-Denominational full gospel Christian, that clings to as truth, the basic foundational, fundamental doctrines of the Christian faith.

There are genuine followers of Jesus Christ,in both protestant and Catholic gatherings…Both are host to the ingenuine,as well..

Folks…We are in the last times and both Protestants & Catholics, will need each other,in the coming days(especially if the Lord tarries and or,we pre/mid tribulationists are wrong)…No one will be on the fence and all who are not in personal relationship with God,will be exposed…
