What about every verse where says servants of Christ? The word used is always DOULOS, which means SLAVE. John 15:15 stresses that we know what He [the master] is doing. All the other verses calling us slaves stress the fact that we dont live for ourselves but for Him.

“friend” in Greek is φίλους which actually means ‘friend/associate’.
