Christ , your referring to religion? in that case its never far away, religion is always with you so distance isnt a problem there. but in terms of a relationship with some one else. i think friends you can because with friends its not how often you talk but how often you think of each other. if its for a short time dont worry but if its for a long time other options should definatelty be considered

The trick of a good relationship is being close. If you never talk, you aren’t having a relationship — you would need at least letters/email.
As for knowing Christ, if you are a born-again Christian you have God’s Holy Spirit with you. This Spirit is Jesus in Spirit-form, so He is close and you can speak with Him throughout the day, listen for His guidance, and pray in order to be closer to Him.
