Bad News/Good News

Why do so many believers hesitate to share the gospel with non-Christians? One of the most common reasons is that they don’t know how.

The Bad News/Good News approach to evangelism is an easy way to present the gospel. There are four points to remember and four Scripture verses to support them:

1) Bad News #1 – We are all sinners. (Romans 3:23)
2) Bad News #2 – The penalty for sin is death. (Romans 6:23)
3) Good News #1 – Christ died for you. (Romans 5:8)
4) Good News #2 – You can be saved through faith in Christ. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

This simple approach to evangelism has freed up thousands to share the Good News of Christ clearly and confidently.

    wow, many people …
    wow, many people misunderstand….

Relationship with God is what being “saved” is. Not magic words.

There is lots of mumbo jumbo out there about what christianity is, and good and bad people claim to be christian.

    It’s the heart that matters.

    God is a jerk. …
God is a jerk. He’s just like Darth Vader “Join me or DIE!”. I’m like Luke Skywalker, “I’ll never join you!” I believe in a powerful divine force and living a good decent life, but I don’t see why I would have to say a specific set of magic words to be “saved”. Have any of you Christians ever stopped to think that Christ’s name wasn’t Jesus? It was Yeshua! Christianity had it’s time, and it was called The Dark Ages.

    A true born again …
A true born again won’t WANT to brutalize anyone. That’s what the Bible means when it says “you will know them by their fruits.” It didn’t mean for you to go out and do good deeds to earn your way to heaven. You CAN’T earn your way. To say you can, would be offensive to God. It would be like slapping his son in the race, and saying “I didn’t NEED you to go through all that!”

    Nice to know good …
Nice to know good deeds don’t matter at all. You can go out and kidnap a family, brutalize and kill them, then say that prayer and you’re good to go. How awesome is that? Wow, I think I’ve just been converted. Praise Jesus!

Where is the big R …
Where is the big R you know Repentance. God calls all men to Repent and believe. To turn away from your sins. Not tell God I am trusting you. Show him in your lifestyle befitting repentance. Acts 26:20. This is also a gift from God. Acts 11:18

    Written in Love. ” …
Written in Love. “Why do so many believers hesitate to share the gospel with non-Christians?” Because they do not like talking about just like this video does not. And then the prayer of salvation at the end with a dissclamer. Nice try! That was not the gospel. Prayer is not telling God what you are going to do. Prayer is making your request known to God. Philippians 4:6 And for confessing sins, asking forgiveness, Giving God glory that His will may be done. Matthew 6:5-13 (a model)

I love this presentation! This was the same good news preached to me about 9 years ago through a tract a friend gave me. I came to trust Jesus as my Savior and the only way to God about a year after that. I’m going to post this on Facebook on FunWall so everyone can see this!
