How To Eradicate A Stutter

A recent report has suggested that around 1% of the UK adult population has a stammer/stutter. Within the paragraphs of this article I will be writing about the way in which I managed to overcome my own speech impediment.
When I had a stutter, I used to be afraid of certain words beginning with certain letters. I have to say that words which started with a “b” were the hardest for me to say. I also had problems with d, v, g, and p words. I would attempt to swap these words with some form of alternative. I did avoid words on a daily basis but my lifetime goal was always to find a way to stop stuttering/stammering.
When seeing for a example an employment vacancy I would immediately think negatively about my chances of getting the position; my speech would bound to stop me is what I would say to myself.
When I was about sixteen I became drunk for the first time and the alcohol gave me a huge but somewhat false confidence boost. I now had no fear and was also able to talk superbly. Now I am not saying that you should all be in a permanent drunken state, however this showed me not only was I able to talk well but that the stammer must not only be a physical impediment but also physcological.
There are many forms of stutter treatments out there including traditional speech therapy, group speech courses, a one to one stuttering help course and even hypnotherapy. I personally believe that the way to go is one to one speech courses as every person who has a stutter is an individual and has an individual stutter.
Steve Hill now runs The How To Stop Stuttering Centre where he offers a one-to-one intensive speech therapy course as well as a self help DVD and a self help stuttering therapy e-book.

river, how do you react?
Without Christ’s sacrifice, you are under the death sentence. Upon accepting Christ Jesus as your savior, God’s forgiveness, and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit, you are like an inmate on death row who has just received a pardon from the Governor.

An intelligent person has rightly said that how life seems to you is completely in your hands. Its up to you how and in what way you take life. Its your perspective how you face each decision of life and destiny that it has chosen for you. Life has two things to offer- happiness and sorrows. And my dear friends we will have to accept sorrows in the same way as we all accept happiness. No doubt sorrows are never wanted and nobody wants to face and why not, we all are humans fitted with very sensitive and emotional heart and mind. If you are given a choice of being joyful or sad, what will you choose? And the good news is that the choice is yours. Our famous and very talented Wimauma Plumbers (Need one? click here!)say that life has two perspectives. One who understands this thing, he or she will remain happy forever. Its very essential that we should welcome each and every decision and step of life with open hearts. If life gives you hundred reasons to be sad, give life hundred and one reasons to be happy. This should be the spirit and attitude towards life. Face life and win it as well. Not only this some very popular and innovative people of world say that life is like a season, offering you various reasons and occasions to be sometimes happy and sometimes sad. The list includes Tate Electricians , who say that they have seen very black days in their life but with the help their motivation and determination they have attained the position that they enjoy today. They all are very thankful to life that taught them such useful lessons and ways to be balanced and determined. Always hope for the best but be prepared for the worst, believe Spring Lake Roofers . They too have followed the same attitude and belief in life. That why they are too successful today.
What is the meaning of the cross to you personally?

For the word of the cross is to those who are perishing foolishness, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. I Corinthians 1:18
It is the fullness of life. Jesus took all my sin ( Galatians 3:13 ), and paid the penalty of eternal damnation for me ( Romans 6:23 ). In return, He made me the righteousness of God in Him ( 2 Corinthians 5:21 ).
Law of Attraction- Be Optimistic with Life

It is never too late to believe in happy endings and prosperity. It is okay to fantasize and believe irrespective of age. Believing in something and expecting it to happen is a wonderful way to live and what can be better than seeing your dreams actually materialize into reality!
The concept of the law of attraction was introduced almost 100 years ago but the idea still lingers in the mind of those who believe in the power of the mind to influence ones life. The way we desire things to happen will surely influence every event in our lives. Our thought and actions complements every single experience that we add up in the story of our lives.
We always desire something good for our own benefit and this where the law of attraction begins. What you desire will come to you if you pair with your thoughts and actions. If you wish to have good life and imply positive thinking and hard work, nothing is impossible. All we need is to believe with our dreams and act on it.
The concept gives everyone the equal chance to be lucky. However, not all of us can practice 100% positive thoughts since we try to weigh things with the consequences. Its hard to believe on something especially if you dont have the chance to experience something positive, happy with no worries.
The only solution is to experience the feeling of being positive in all your ways. First, ask what you want with your life and imagine yourself living the fruits of your wishes. I know that the entire experience will truly bring you happiness, contentment and of course positive thoughts.
Get hold of that emotion and try to embrace it every time youre having a hard time gathering positive thoughts. Always attract positive energy for it will bring goodness in your life. Dont be a pessimistic for you will just suffer a lonesome life that you dont deserve. Try to enjoy the fruits of positive thinking and a prosperous life that awaits you.
First, you need to love yourself genuinely. Be in love with your own personality. This will enhance law of attraction and its effect. You cannot think about the good side of things if you feel hatred in your heart. You must appreciate love more than anger and contentment over dissatisfaction.
Always remember that what you think will happen to you today and tomorrow will have chances to come true if you put your mind actions in it. Thus, you need to invest more on positive things rather than killing yourself worrying much about things that might happen to you. Its up to you what life you want to experience, after all each one of us is given a single chance to live in this world.
Its hard to have a positive outlook and imply the law of attraction if you cant find any reason to love yourself. Its very easy to see the goodness of everything if you have love in your heart. If you find it hard then try to go to places where you can find happiness and peace of mind. Never settle for ideas that will make you frown and think of negative thoughts. If you do it correctly, never miss to thank yourself for a job well done.
Be grateful with everything especially how the law of attraction influences your life. Be thankful not just because you experience prosperous rather you enjoyed a life filled with positive energy and love.

A Supervisor Helps a Worker Address His Depression and His Heavy and Hazardous Drinking After a Destroyed Relationship

Russ dropped out of high school when he was sixteen years old and eventually found employment at a local pet food manufacturer. For the past four-and-a-half years he has gained a reputation as a hard-working and diligent employee who rarely calls off work due to illness.
Nearly five months ago he started dating a young woman named Emma. They appeared to hit it off right away and looked like they had a lot of good times together.
The Abusive Drinking Begins
When Russ met Emma, he hardly ever drank. This circumstance changed when Russ and Emma started seeing each other on a fairly normal basis. In point of fact, everything was going great until Emma called Russ one night nearly 4 AM and said that she had to call off their relationship and that she couldn’t tell him the reasons for her decision at that moment.
The next morning before he went to work, Russ went to her apartment and found out right away that Emma had already moved out. Russ took this exceptionally hard. Actually, he was dismayed because they appeared to be getting along so very well.
When Hazardous and Heavy Drinking Leads to Work Problems
So what did Russ do about Emma’s leaving? Instead of letting himself go through the grieving process, he started getting drunk just about every night. It didn’t take long for his buddies at work or for his boss to notice that Russ was coming to work late at least three times per week and that he often called off sick. Not only this but some of his co-workers made an appointment with staff in Human Resources and mentioned that Russ routinely came to work with a noticeable smell of alcohol on his breath or on his clothes.
Russ’s boss heard about all of this from Human Resources and also from Russ’s co-workers. So one Thursday morning he invited Russ into his office. He told Russ that he had recently noticed a distinct change in his attendance, sick time, behavior, and in his work performance.
When a Supervison Can Encourage a Worker to Get Help For His or Her Excessive and Abusive Drinking
Russ’s supervisor also stated that a number of his co-workers reported him to Human Resources because he had been coming to work with the strong odor of alcohol. His manager then stated the following: “Russ, your fellow employees are not reporting you to the Human Resources Department to get you into trouble or because they don’t like you but instead because they are concerned about you. And I care too. I don’t want to interfere with your life, but it is obvious that you are displaying some of the characteristic signs and symptoms of excessive drinking. As a result, I want you to go and see a healthcare practitioner in the employee’s assistance program to discuss your drinking and your depression.”
“Russ, I’m no healthcare practitioner or a psychologist, but I have seen quite a few of my friends and relatives suffer through some extremely negative alcohol side effects. Furthermore, I have also seen the signs of alcoholism first-hand in my own family. When individuals have problems with drinking, these problems not only affect the drinker, but they also make an impact on his or her neighbors, co-workers, relatives, family, and friends.”
Russ respected his supervisor quite a lot and consequently followed through with his suggestion the next work day when he called and scheduled an appointment with someone in the employee’s assistance program.
Russ is Still Depressed But Feels Some Hope That He Will Get His Life Back on Track
Even though Russ didn’t necessarily feel any better or less depressed about the sadness he still feels for Emma, he felt some reassurance knowing that his manager and his co-workers wanted what’s best for him and cared about him. This gave him some emotional relief for the first time in more than a few weeks and he honestly felt some hope that he would get his life back on track.
Communication Course To Help Improve Fluency And To Overcome Stuttering

Over the last few years the popularity of specialised communication courses for stuttering has increased in a big way. The courses are normally held over a five-day period however there are also a two and three day option available. The courses themselves are run by a person who knows all about the subject of stammering and stuttering due to the fact that he had this type of speech impediment for eighteen years of his life before managing to achieve fluency when he was aged twenty-two.
The stammering/stuttering therapy course are held in Birmingham which is in England. The How to Stop Stuttering Centre has been offering these speech courses since 1996 and Steve Hill who runs them has regularly been featured within the media during that time including a front page appearance on the much respected Daily Telegraph.
Steve has also produced a number of self-help products for the people who are not able to attend a stuttering speech course in England. These include a stuttering therapy audio book, a stuttering therapy DVD and a stuttering therapy e-book.
Steve has recently developed the “stuttering treatments via Skype”. Here people are able to receive therapy whilst watching Steve Hill on their computer screens. This abilty to watch the speech coach describe and demonstrate the techniques is of great benefit in speech pathology.
So what about the feedback for such a course? Well thus far the feedback has been extremely positive hence why there is such a demand for these types of specialist stuttering therapy courses.
There is currently a three month waiting period to attend one of the three and five-day courses and for this reason Steve Hill has now commenced running a two day weekend course as well.
To achieve fluency I realised that I needed to start thinking in a much more positive manner; out went the negativity and in came a whole new “I can do it” approach. This really is the only way to go and I only regret that I did not realise this a whole lot earlier.
Do you attend church cause it’s your parents church or do you go cause you feel the power of God?

AT my parents church i would not be surprised if 70% of those go ther cause that is what they have done for the last 30 years, or cuse there parents go there. lutheran ELCA.
today i rarely attend that church, i go to others that are more evangelical.
what do you think?
My mother hates organized religion. My father is an Atheist.
And yet I am an Eastern Orthodox Christian.
It’s safe to say that my parents have nothing to do with my faith.
I go to church because I believe in God. I go to an Orthodox Church because that is the style of worship that allows me to best express my belief.
People seem to think that they are confined by their parent’s beliefs. They aren’t. We are all individuals capable of thinking for ourselves. To reach the truth, we must question everything.
Dog is Top Story in One Dog of a Year.

By Tom Wald, Founder of Sound Of To America By all accounts 2009 was a pretty tough year the whole way around. Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan raged on with no real end in sight. A lot of people lost jobs and continue to face financial hardship. The government handed hundreds of billions of dollars over to the richest people in the country who in turn gave it right back to themselves. The nation experienced a hostile split on the contentious issue of health care reform. The culture of Reality TV hit new levels of craziness as wannabees actually endangered children and breached security at the White House. One of our greatest sports heros fell from grace. Oh yea, and the Yankees won the World Series. Yet amidst all of this there was one really great story worth remembering. It’s fully incapsulated in about a one minute video that made the rounds last summer, but even if you saw it then its worth another look now.On a highway in Chile, a dog was struck by a car. This might seem commonplace, but in this instance, another dog braved the high speed traffic and pulled him to safety. There’s no way you can watch it, be it for the first time or the fiftieth, without getting a lump in the eye or tear in the throat, or however the saying goes. The film footage is magnificent. When you look back at all that happened in 2009 we can certainly learn a ton from this dog turned hero. For instance: President Obama might learn that when it comes to great obstacles or challenges they need to be taken on one hundred percent or not taken on at all. Treasury Secretary Geithner might learn that help should be provided to those who are truly in need and not to those who are already taken care of. Those who disagree fiercely on health care reform or any other issue for that matter, such as our elected officials in Congress, might now remember there is a common good in working together. Reality TV aspirants such as balloon boy father Richard Heene and White House party crashers Tareq and Michaele Salahi might realize from this that the great dramas of life occur at a moment’s notice and can not be contrived or rehearsed. Tiger Woods might want to take note that this dog’s life was saved by a single other dog, not an endless population of them. Even Yankees ace closer Mariono Rivera might admit this was the best save of the year to say nothing of the fact the dog was paid nothing to be out there. There are people that might say that this dog did what any dog would do. If so then thank God for that too, because in one dog of a year it looks as though it’s taken a real dog to show us all how to be human To make a comment on this, or any other topic, please visit SoundOffToAmerica. |
